Dr. Raman Abrol

Dr. Raman Abrol is a Senior ENT Consultant in Chandigarh, practising at the state-of-art Abrol ENT Institute & Research Centre. Born in 1967, Dr. Raman Abrol completed his MBBS in 1990 (Jammu University). He did his residency training (post-graduation - MS) between 1993 and 1996 at the famous Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh. He worked as Registrar in the Department of ENT and Head & Neck Surgery at PGIMER Chandigarh between 1996 and 1999.

After completing his Senior Registrarship, he joined as teaching faculty at the Government Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh. In 2001, he started his private clinic, which has remained at the forefront of the ENT speciality in the region. The clinic imparts treatment and education alike to the people in this region and is acclaimed for expertise in sinus Surgery, sleep apnea surgery and ear surgery (hearing restoration surgery).

Dr. Raman Abrol has trained in Europe, Asia and the USA under world-renowned experts in various types of ENT surgeries. In 2001 he trained in Endoscopic Sinus Surgery at the University ENT Hospital in Graz, Austria, with Prof. H Stammberger. In 2002 he went on a fellowship to Zurich University ENT Hospital in Switzerland to train in Otology and Skull Base Surgery with Prof. UGO Fisch, where he successfully mastered microsurgery techniques for hearing restoration. In 2005 Dr. Abrol attended an international workshop at the Singapore General Hospital in allergy testing, immunotherapy and allergy management under Prof. Lee Kuan. Finally, in 2006, Dr. Abrol trained in Sleep Disorders Management at the Stanford Medical Centre, Sleep Disorder Clinic, Palo Alto, USA, under Prof. Nelson Powell.

Dr. Raman Abrol is married to Dr. Rachna Abrol and has two sons. He is a proud Rotarian and Paul-Harris Fellow. He is a keen golfer and an avid sports and music enthusiast.
